The Veronica Awdry Charitable Trust (VACT) was set up in 2005 by the

eldest daughter of the Rev Awdry. It provides grants to other charitable
organisations and individuals focussing mainly on projects that improve the lives and/or broaden the educational experiences of people living in Devon but also on heritage railway projects.
